Check your PCD and hub bore first
Every spacer is made for a stud pattern (PCD) and a hub bore. The 86 ZN6, BRZ ZC6 and 5×100 Subarus use 5×100 on a 56.1mm hub. The WRX STI, Levorg and later Forester, Legacy and Outback use 5×114.3 on a 56.1mm hub. The MX-5 NA, NB and ND use 4×100 on a 54mm hub. Each product lists its PCD, bore and fitment, so match them to your car.
Three types of spacer
- Slip-on: slides over your hub and studs with no PCD change. The 3mm and 5mm multi-fit spacers use your factory studs. The 12mm and 15mm multi-fit spacers need extended wheel studs.
- Hub centric bolt-on: bolts to the hub and carries its own studs. 15mm, in 5×100 or 5×114.3.
- Conversion: bolts to a 5×100 hub and gives you 5×114.3 studs, in 15mm to 30mm. Pick the 56.1mm spigot for wheels with a 56.1mm bore, or the 66.1mm spigot for wheels with a 66.1mm bore.
Fitting
All spacers are 6061-T6 aluminium. Torque wheel nuts to the factory setting, 120 Nm on the 86 and BRZ, as going higher risks stripping the stud. Extended studs and open-ended lug nuts give you more thread engagement. Wheel spacers are sold for off-road use only, and we recommend installation by a licensed mechanic.
