Brake Rotors guide
Our two-piece rotors bolt an iron ring to a heat-treated aluminium hat, which cuts unsprung weight. The 370Z 350mm rear rotors are 1.94kg lighter per pair than factory, and the 280mm MX-5 ND rotors save almost 2kg across the pair. They arrive assembled, runout tested and balanced. When the rings wear, replace just the rings and keep your hats. Hat bolts torque to 13 to 15 ft-lb.
Some rotors bolt straight on in place of factory ones:
Upgrade sizes need our billet caliper adapters to space the caliper out. The 337mm V2 rear rotors run on the factory caliper and pads with our 337mm adapters, and the 340mm rears suit GTR Brembo or 350Z Brembo calipers.
Buying for a first upgrade? Our brake kits bundle the rotors with the right brackets, and list the minimum wheel size.
Direct replacement HFM.Parts rotors include 324mm fronts for the Skyline R33 GTR and R34 GTR, 324mm two-piece fronts for Brembo 350Z Z33 and V35, 354mm fronts and 350mm rears for the 370Z Z34, 326mm two-piece fronts for the WRX STI and Brembo 86 and BRZ, and 280mm fronts for the MX-5 ND. Upgrade sizes need caliper adapters.
Yes. When the rings wear, buy HFM.Parts replacement rotor rings as a pair with a matching hat bolt kit and keep your aluminium hats. Rear rings for the 350mm 370Z and S/R chassis rear rotors are also available. Hat bolts torque to 13 to 15 ft-lb.
No. The HFM.Parts 337mm V2 rear rotors run on the factory caliper and pads with our 337mm caliper adapters on the Skyline R32 GTR, R32 GTS-T, R33 GTS-T and R34 GTT. At 337mm x 18mm they are 40mm larger than the factory 297mm rear rotor.
