Description

HFM.Parts have re-developed their superseded Brake Master Cylinder with higher quality rubbers and internals with a classic monochrome design. If you have an old/worn out OEM Nissan or HFM.Parts BM57 BMC kicking around that has lost brake pedal pressure and you cannot get seals for it, the HFM.Parts Rebuild Kit with full piston seal kit and reservoir might be what you need.

FAQs

Q. Will this fit my vehicle? A. We have only confirmed fitment for the vehicles mentioned under compatibility. If your vehicle is not listed, then we don't know if it fits. Q. Does my brake master cylinder need to be honed even if it looks ok? A. Yes! It may look smooth to the human eye but the bore could still be out of round and worn. It will require honing for the new piston seals to seal correctly. Q. The fluid sensor connector is on the wrong side, what can I do? A. You can easily swap the sensor connector to either side of the BM57 by following these steps. On the terminal side, push a small flat screwdriver in between the sensor connector and the bottom of the reservoir to lightly pry apart the lock tab. On the opposite side of the sensor connector, push through to pop it out. *This is much easier to do prior to installation! Q. I have a round (or other shape) fluid sensor connector, will it fit? A. No, our fluid sensor connector is rectangle (as shown in the product photo), in order to plug your existing fluid sensor connector into our one, you will need to cut your existing connector off and join the two exposed wires to individual spade terminals. Then, you can push these onto our connector. Q. Do I need any special/uncommon tools when installing this product? A. While not necessary, you may like to use a Brake Booster Push Rod Adjusting Tool to make it easier to get the right amount of brake booster push rod clearance. You can get one here. Q. My OEM pistons have an elongated slot which is different to what will be supplied? Why is this? A. Some brake masters utilise a retaining screw (circled in red) to hold the pistons in place. Our pistons do not require this mechanism. If your Brake Master has a retaining lock screw, you will need to either shorten or replace it with a shorter screw to block the fluid from leaking.
