Description

At just 100mm long, with a gradual taper and a sturdy appearance, this antenna strikes a nice balance between classic and modern design. The in-built 10mm spanner slot makes swapping from old to new super simple.

Although radio reception might be limited, this beautiful, sleek, short antenna offers some modern appeal without ruining the classic aesthetic of the MX-5. HFM.Parts Short Antenna is made of our signature T6 6061 Billet aluminium, which has been hard anodised black for the longevity required for an external feature.

If you’re planning to switch to one of our Short billet antennas for your NB MX-5, you’ll need to add the conversion fitting. The NB model comes with an electric antenna, and this fitting is essential for a smooth transition. If you have an NA with an electric antenna, unfortunately, this product is incompatible.

Do I need to buy the antenna if I only want the base fitting? A. Yes, the base fitting will only work with our antenna. If you would like to use this antenna on your MX-5 NB, you will need to also purchase the base fitting. Q. Do I need to remove my electric antenna? NA: Unfortunately, this product is not right for you as our base fitting is incompatible. NB: Yes, you must remove the electric antenna and use the base fitting with our antenna. Q. Do I need any special tools? A. Nope! Q. Will my Radio work once I install this antenna? A. No, as there will be no transmittance. This antenna is purely aesthetic.
