The Nissan Skyline R32 GTR, produced between 1989 and 1994, is a legend. Even 30+ years later, it’s still one of the most iconic GTR models. Known for its groundbreaking all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, and twin-turbocharged engine, the R32 GTR dominated the Japanese Touring Car Championship in the early ’90s and won over enthusiasts worldwide.
As these cars age, many owners are restoring their pride and joy—paint, bodywork, trims, and rubbers are all being brought back to life. But one area often neglected? The seats.
Was it by choice? We didn’t think so.
We reached out to the R32 GTR community to find out why. Were the original seats grey, blue, or black? The identification plate says black, but no one seemed to agree. And “black” or “grey” alone? They’re not simple—there are hundreds of shades, let alone hues.
Determined to do it justice, we analysed untouched, unscathed parts of the seats with over 100 swatches of greys and blacks. But the exact match was impossible. We didn’t want to pretend we’d found it—so we created our own. A perfect balance of blue and grey. We love it, and we think you will too.
