Requirements
Why upgrade
The factory MX-5 clutch line runs through a hard line, a rubber hose and a pig-tail loop. It’s slow to bleed, and the rubber section expands with heat.
This braided line replaces the whole assembly with one line from the master to the slave. The shorter, more direct path makes bleeding quicker and gives a more responsive pedal. The braided line is stronger than rubber and resists heat and expansion, so pedal feel stays consistent.

Compliant with FMVSS 106, DOT, TUV and ADR specifications. FMVSS 106 testing includes:
- 370lb (168kg) pull test
- 35-hour whip test
- 7,000psi burst test
- -45°C to 146°C temperature test
- 24-hour salt corrosion resistance test

Fitting
Remove the factory hard line, rubber hose and pig-tail loop, then fit the braided line from the clutch master to the slave. Bleed the clutch with fresh fluid until the pedal is firm and check both ends for leaks before driving.
Fitting a new clutch master? Do both at the same time, as the system is already open.
We recommend installation by a licensed mechanic.
