Why upgrade
As a convertible, the MX-5 has no roof to tie the A and B pillars together, so the chassis flexes. That flex makes handling less consistent when you’re pushing on.
Stiffer Delrin door bushings reposition the doors to sit higher, so they support more lateral load through corners. That adds rigidity while you keep the soft top, and the car feels more predictable. It’s one of the easiest, most affordable ways to do it.
As a bonus, they cut down door rattles, which are common in older cars. Discreet branding keeps the factory look.
