86, BRZ and MX-5

The 86 and BRZ leave the factory with an 11/16″ clutch master. With a heavier aftermarket clutch, the engagement point gets hard to judge. Our 5/8″ master works with the factory 13/16″ slave and gives a clearer engagement point and a softer pedal with stock, heavy-duty and twin-plate clutches. It suits the ZN6, ZN8, ZC6 and ZD8 in RHD and LHD. For the MX-5 NA and NB, our Geomet® coated master is a direct OEM replacement.

Fitting

Bench bleed the master before it goes in with our bench bleeding line, then bleed the clutch system. On a GTR, check the clutch assist booster for fluid while the master is out. Most of our masters have a black Geomet® coating for corrosion and heat resistance. We recommend installation by a licensed mechanic.

Which clutch master cylinder fits my Silvia S14, S15, R33 GTS-T or R34 GTT?

The Silvia S14 (30610-74F91), S15 (30610-88F07), Skyline R33 GTS-T (30610-21007) and R34 GTT (30610-AA10A) all take our S14 / S15 / R33 / R34 clutch master, which has a bottom line feed. The Silvia S13, 180SX and R32 GTS-T use a different master, our S13 / R32 unit.

Which clutch master cylinder fits a Skyline GTR?

The Skyline R32, R33 and R34 GTR and the Stagea 260RS use our GTR clutch master cylinder, a direct replacement for Nissan 30610-05U01 with a black Geomet® coating and a lifetime warranty on the cylinder body. While the master is out, check the clutch assist booster for fluid.

Does the 5/8″ clutch master work with the factory Toyota 86 or BRZ slave?

Yes. The HFM.Parts 5/8″ clutch master upgrade works with the factory 13/16″ slave on the Toyota 86 ZN6, GR86 ZN8 and Subaru BRZ ZC6 and ZD8, in RHD and LHD. Going down from the factory 11/16″ bore gives a clearer engagement point and a softer pedal.
