Toyota and Subaru’s original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has developed a comfortable and soft clutch pedal designed for regular street driving by utilising an 11/16″ clutch master cylinder. However, using aftermarket clutch kits in certain racing situations can make it difficult to accurately determine the clutch release point, especially with a heavy clutch diaphragm. This issue can lead to problems like clutch riding or stalling, which can ultimately damage the clutch system. To address this, HFM.Parts has created an upgraded 5/8″ Clutch Master Cylinder that can be directly bolted on and works in conjunction with the OEM 13/16″ Clutch Slave. This upgraded Clutch Master Cylinder increases pressure within the system, resulting in more positive engagement and a softer pedal feel.
