It can be nearly impossible to bleed the internal air pockets from a new master cylinder once it has already been installed on a vehicle. Bench bleeding is important when installing a new master cylinder to make sure all the air is internally purged from the new master prior to installation.

The purpose of the “bench bleed” is to remove any air trapped inside the master cylinder before it is installed. Air can be compressed, while fluid cannot, so any air in the system can hinder the cylinder’s performance. Bleeding the master cylinder ensures it functions properly.

    Fit perfectly on my S13, with just a little bit of trimming of the knuckle and caliper. Used a set of Infiniti Q60/Q70 rear calipers, exactly the same as 370Z and more readily available. Any of the Akebono calipers with 4101 casting number should work.

    I recently upgraded my Nissan S15 with these brake rotors and caliper adapters, and I am thoroughly impressed with their products and service. The materials used are high-quality, and the fitment and precision of their product was perfect! Originally I just wanted to enhance the aesthetics of the car with bigger brake rotors! But after the install of their front and rear rotor upgrade kits along with fresh brake pads, I noticed a significant improvement in braking power moving from old worn disks to theirs, not to mention better an overall driving experience.     This master cylinder did exactly what they said. Direct bolt on. And just works. We tested it in our Endurance v35 and had performed spot on. If your looking for an upgrade for your 25mm master I highly recommend this for a firmer pedal feel.

    Using the 2 piece rotors on our endurance car and so far the results are good. Huge weight difference, better cooling, cheaper rotor replacement,and the look is just a bonus. The HFM Team are great with there backup service and comitment to working on some of the more intricacies of a race car. GREAT JOB.
