HFM.Parts have re-developed their superseded Brake Master Cylinder with higher quality rubbers and internals, with a classic monochrome design. With a whopping 17/16 Inch (27mm) piston bore size, this is the perfect application if you are looking to increase your braking performance and reduce that spongy feeling to give you a firmer brake pedal with less travel. HFM.Parts have included a Tapered Grub Screw so that this model can be applied to both ABS and NON-ABS vehicles.

The dark colour of HFM.Parts Brake Masters come from their Geomet® coating. As well as providing some heat protection and environmental resistance, this coating is environmentally friendly as it contains no Chromium, the leftover solution is recycled and no chemicals are evaporated.

Description

HFM.Parts Caliper Adapters have been finely crafted from T6-6061 hard anodized billet aluminium and are fitted with quality stainless steel Heli-Coils to maintain strength. Fitting these adapters with your OEM R34 GTT caliper will enable you to increase your original rotor size of 310mm to our 324mm GTR rotors, not only is this more aesthetically pleasing but it will help improve heat disbursement and brake performance.

 


*Suited only to R34 GTT’s with 310mm rotors and M14 caliper bolt holes as standard.

FAQ's

Q. Will this fit my vehicle? A. We have only confirmed fitment for the vehicles mentioned under compatibility. If your vehicle is not listed, then we don't know if it fits. Q. Are there any modifications that need to be done to fit this adaptor? A. Yes, you are required to linish/polish the caliper or knuckle side to avoid binding. Please refer to the installation video/guide for assistance. Q. Will the brake pads cover the entire rotor surface, or will I have “Pad Overhang”? A. There will be ~1-2mm of pad overhang; please refer to the reference photo above. This is because the adaptor works by spacing out your existing calipers, which in turn, the brake pads position will follow, to accommodate the larger rotor. There are no brake pads (that we’re aware of) that will fit within the original caliper and cover more surface area. Q. Can I use these adaptor brackets if I have aftermarket lower control arms? A. When installed properly, this adaptor bracket sits close to the lower control arm. In general, if your car retains the OEM stopping position, there should be no interference while using this adaptor. However, we cannot confirm its fitment with any aftermarket products that can change your steering angle. Q. Do I need to get longer brake lines, or can I use the OEM lines? A. While you can retain your OEM brake lines, they will likely be at full extension. We recommend replacing your OEM brake lines with longer braided brake lines.

    Very nicely made up kit, my only issue was being 2 flat washers short in the sealed bag “no biggy had some spares in my garage” and the pre assembled 2 piece rotors bots not being anywhere close to the recommended torque specs of 13-15 ft lbs so make sure you checked them! Paired this kit with a new set of Project Mu HC800s and have only had time to do the bed in process so far. But everything feels great. Can’t wait to see how they go at my next time attack day.

    Opting to keep my 17″ wheels, this upgrade was the perfect choice. For a car that endures regular light track work and spirited driving this kit is ideal. The stock brakes are more than capable of pulling up my – and arguably most – 32 GTR, however they suffer and fade from consistent use. These rotors now provide less brake fade due to the larger 2-piece rotor dissipating heat more efficiently and effectively.

    The unboxing was great, all the parts came clearly separated allowing for an easy install and the rotors came assembled which was superb.
    The install felt tedious, though this was due to me constantly test-fitting the adaptor as I shaved the knuckle – trying to shave as little as possible. The install video was an excellent guide and helpful with torque settings too!
    This was a no brainer for my application. The rotors are about 1kg lighter than the stock 296mm equivalent which is 1 less kilogram of unsprung weight either side which is a great improvement. They are also very aesthetically pleasing.

    Greater braking endurance, reduction in unsprung weight, extremely cost effective compared to going a true BBK. This is an excellent upgrade for anyone wanting to retain the stock caliper but wants to enhance performance. After considering the other options (Evo Brembos, R33/34 and even R35 GTR Brembos and Endless/Project Mu), this came out on top.
