Every engine makes metal wear particles. Left in circulation, they wear bearings and cylinder walls. The factory drain plug does nothing to stop them.
The HFM.Parts magnetic sump plug has a 500g lift magnet that pulls ferrous particles out of the oil and holds them until your next oil change. It’s one of the cheapest ways to look after your engine.
Anything the magnet collects is easy to see when the plug comes out, so you get a quick check on engine condition at every service.
