Big Bore Clutch Slave Cylinder

By HFM.Parts Team

1. Test Fit
Hold the clutch slave against the bell housing prior to fitment/bolting on. This is so that you can check that there is enough clearance between the body of the clutch slave and the bell housing.
We have minimised the risk of binding by re-engineering the fitment tabs. If there is a chance that the clutch slave body will touch the bell housing ribs, we recommend linishing this area slightly.

2. Adjust Clearance/Free Play
The distance between the push rod and clutch fork can vary depending on your setup. E.g.: pivot ball lengths and thrust bearing carrier lengths.
To ensure you have the right amount of clearance between the push rod and clutch fork, once installed, we recommend checking that you are able to spin the push rod between your thumb and index finger. This is a good starting point for creating your clearance adjustments. When you are happy with this, remember to adjust the free play of your clutch master push rod as well. You may not need any adjustments, but it should still be checked to prevent the clutch from “riding on.”
